1. You know I guess what I was getting at like Tirk said, I wanted another corner or safety in the higher rounds. That should have been the Saints concentration, they could have went Offense in the later rounds.
  2. Jenkins is projected as a possible safety, which we will need to replace Sharper.

Davis is a true corner. Jenkins has the versatility to be corner if the need arises.

Thus Jenkins' stock as far as the Saints were concerned was a no brainer.

The kid has the knack of getting to the ball and should be a fine safety for years to come.
  3. But can't guard speed or any LSU WR's lol...Still hope he becomes a great CB with Jenkins and Greer on the outside guarding the bigger WRs I guess and Porter on the inside guarding the speed like Wes Welker when we play the Pats.
  4. Jenkins will likely end up playing FS. I think he will be a natural at this position. He has ball hawk mentality.
  5. The problem with that is, this is the NFL. If you are playing corner and your not a true corner, you will be exposed by the top QBs and receivers. There is a reason top QBs wouldnt throw Deon Sanders and Champ Baileys way. Jenkins isnt at that level, he should play safety.
  6. Well Jenkins is a fine corner in his own right, he's no slouch. He just has the added ability to be a ball hawking free safety.

He could easily be a great corner in this league.
  7. Against Big 10 receivers yea, but they have quite a few SEC receivers in the league.
  8. never heard of drafting a corner to convert to safety out of college. maybe after they turn 40 or something.

    =waste of a pick.

    good job saints.

maybe convert brees to kicker and special teams instead while theyre at it. makes as much sense.
  9. maybe you are hoping he turns out to be a good corner.
  10. I think he will too I was just going by what Coach SP has been saying not like that means alot. I still going to hold out hope we could get a Eric Berry or Chad Jones next year or even Taylor Mays.
