1. PT, I can't even give the offense a D. Carmichael's play calling was turrible, turrible, turrible....they were one-dimensional from the first snap. Too many penalties, dropped passes, and a fumble inside the 5 yard line. Even Brees was well below his normal level of play.

And can't give special teams an A, either. The blocked punt was fabulous, but they also extended a Redskin possession with a penalty on a punt. Can't remember if they ended up scoring, but at the least, it cost us clock and field position. Sproles also tried to return at least 2 kickoffs from more than 5 yards in the end zone and didn't reach the 20. Love me some DS, but he's good for that and needs to cut it out.
  2. The fumble that went out the back of the endzone was a killer...
  3. not a good start at all. i thought they'd come out with a chip on the shoulder. instead, they came out with a gun and proceeded to repeatedly shoot themselves in the foot! those receivers dropped so many passes, penalties over and over, turnovers, made a rookie quarterback playing his first game look like he was ready for canton. so many obstacles to overcome, but i still expected a lot more.

  4. in week one of the 2012 NFL season, the franchises that have won the last 7 Super Bowls all lost...

Saints lost by 8 to Skins

Giants lost by 7 to Cowboys

Packers lost by 8 to 49ers

Steelers lost to Broncos by 12

Colts lost by 20 to Bears
  5. Lots of passes batten down by Washington DL.

Defense was terrible. Secondary missed Tracey Porter who played lights out last night in Denver.

I say we trade Ingram for a CB.

Moving up to take Ingram was stupid anyway.
  6. Mark Ingram is worthless. He's been more productive on the Superdome turf as an Alabama cheerleader than a Saints' running back. If I was GM, I'd trade him for a 2nd or 3rd round pick next year in a heartbeat.

  7. ex Giants (2005-2009) Pro Bowl LB on Spags and defense...

@AntonioPierce: Saints defense will be better-- 2007 with Spags we were 0-2 and gave up 80pts -- yet we won a SB an finished in the top 10
  8. Maybe you should offer free sandwiches and beer. :D
  9. Still can't believe they traded up to get him.
  10. Agree with all these comments on Ingram. Interesting...the makeup of the Saints running back corps.....Ingram, 1st round pick; Sproles, free agent; Thomas, undrafted free agent; Ivory, undrafted free agent; Cadet, undrafted free agent.
