I was just looking at some stats and as poorly as the defense played to start the season, it's no secret that they've been dominating lately and picking up the slack for the offense that has struggled at times the last couple of weeks. Earlier in the year, we were not getting any pressure on opposing QBs, which was part of the reason we were getting lit up in the passing game. But after Sunday's game, the Saints D is 3rd in the NFL in sacks with 41. (Pitt leads the way with 45). Cam is Cam, but Sheldon Rankins has been blowing ma fukkas up! He and Cam both had sacks yesterday and Davenport would have had one too, had he not been held. We're also 6th in forced fumbles and tied for 5th in holding opponents 3rd down conversion at 39.9%. So I just wanted to send out some love to them, given how much they've improved since the season started and because the offense get so much attention. They've pretty much been the strength of the team the last few weeks while the offense has sputtered or started slowly. If the offense picks back up where it left off after getting this mini slump out of the way and the D continues playing at a high level, I like our chances come playoff time.

Rankins has been beasting on the line... Also, to piggy back on what you stated, the d has also pitched 2 second half shutouts the last 2 games... If it weren't for the refs assistance in the Dallas game, we'd be working on 12 game winning streak... Oh well, start another win streak to the big dance... Who dat!
