I hadn't made any in a few years but my oldest daughter requested some so I made a couple Sunday. It's not my specialty but they liked it.

I was looking for tips to add to what I do.

    Ingredients:
-1 1/2 pounds of ground pure pork sausage
    -3/4 pound of ground beef
-1 lb of Jimmy Dean Hot sausage
    -1 onion
    -Sliced Jalapeno peppers
    -1 bell pepper
-cheese (I use three kinds- moz, mont and cheed)

I don't know how to make bread from "scratch" so I use this.

I cut up onions and jalapeno peppers. I tried some bell peppers for the first time and cut them after taking the pic.
I also use one pound of Jimmy Dean with the rest just to add another flavor.

Put meat and onions in pot and brown. As soon as meat is browned well, add peppers. (I don't want them to cook down TOO much and
why I only put them in long enough to kind of saute them.

After rolling out dough, fill. Seal end with a fork and put seam down. I don't let my bread rise too much because I don't like to have too much bread-to-meat.

Wa La. One thing I did this time that seemed to really work well was baste it with egg wash. Gives it a pretty brown color.

Oh duh! Yes, I did put a lot of cheese. I'll go back and edit/add. Thanks.

I actually add some in the meat and then sprinkle more on top of the filling after I put in on the dough.

I'll bring one when we go on our boudin run.

Did you ever pm me your size and address for the T? I don't recall and don't have that info. Also need to know if you look better in red or purple.

I am about to put one in the oven. Sunday my youngest had said she didn't like sausage bread but tasted and today asked for another.

With three loaves I get 6. I cut them in half. I froze one for my mom, one for my sister and two for the girls.

    Nothing for Stacey?

Sparty scored. Was it too much to hope for a shut out? Dreaming I guess...

I'll take the shirt if it comes with a link. I won't even give it to the kid if the link sucks.
