Congratulations! Being a parent is the greatest feeling in the world. I have a three-year-old daughter, and she amazes me every day.
Congratulations, Ellis. She's beautiful. My best friend and his wife just had their first, a healthy 6 lb 13 oz boy, the Sunday before Labor Day. He's 42, she's 39, and they had been trying, without success, to conceive for the whole 12 years they had been married. They had just about given up hope, when all of a sudden...voila, she's pregnant. Needless to say their lives have undergone a radical change.
We are going to call her Blake. Blake happens to be my middle name, but I have known several girls named Blake over the years. Thanks to everyone for the congrats.
