Fight After the Game. . . Did anybody see what happened or heard? I was listening over the radio and didn't get to find out what happened. From what I heard Miami came into LSU's tunnel and started swinging on a player and then some LSU player started putting a helmet to the back of Miami player's heads.
I was there, but did not see the fight. I left 3 minutes before that...but as they explained on local radio was that Dwayne was messing around with some of his boys from Miami, and I think took one of their footballs and ran into the tunnel, just messing around with his pals on the Canes side, and two other Canes chased after him into the tunnel.
ESPN reported that Hester and Bowe both friends were messing around in the tunnel, canes charged in thinking it was a fight and got their a$$es handed to them again. Coker sounded apologetic in his post game.
Still on ESPN, and haven't heard a thing. But, as it is Miami, and they are thugs, I wouldn't be a bit surprised. They were sore loseres when we barely beat em, and y'all took em to the woodshed. Thug U carries on their tradition.:angryfire
Fast developing story and hard to keep up with. Sportsline reporting that the unconscious 'canes not involved in fight. Just collapsed after viewing final scoreboard. More to follow.
There were shoves and punches thrown between players immediately after the game as both teams left the field into the same tunnel. Georgia State Patrol officers intervened, and minutes later Miami’s Andrew Bain, apparently dazed, was escorted by officers back out of the tunnel. Miami coach Larry Coker said Bain and Miami’s Khalil Jones were knocked unconscious in the brawl. Coker said no players were detained by police. No players were hospitalized. “I don’t know what happened and I don’t condone it,” Coker said. LSU’s Jacob Hester, who ran for 70 yards and a touchdown said trash-talking, some involving LSU receiver Dwayne Bowe, a Miami native, began as good-natured fun. “We had a guy who is from Miami who was kidding around with one of his boys,” Hester said. “Miami thought it was something serious. They came in the tunnel and they were swinging, but it was just a joke between friends.” After a few minutes, the entire LSU team was back on the field celebrating the win with fans. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10656802/
