I hear ya but self defense is a right we all have. From all indications LSU players were not the aggressors so they had the right to defend themselves and no D.A. in his right mind would prosecute under these circumstances. But, I do understand what you are saying and in different circumstances I would agree with you....just not under these circumstances. :thumb: The "make use of what you got" was mentioned in the context of trouble finding you not you looking for trouble. (I don't mean you literally). If I am attacked unprovoked you can bet I will use what I have to defend myself. Having been the victim of an armed robbery and attempted murder, I might be a little biased though.
wrong...i saw the first report right after the game and it stated that bowe was parading the ball in front of the miami players...who gives a ****...we won:geauxtige
No, from all indications you are wrong. That report was quickly corrected....come on now, we are talking about fact, not fiction. See earlier post from member that was right on top of the tunnel that confirms what I said not to mention numerous media outlets. So, I do give a ****. Not only did we win, big time......but we also can take the high road in that we did not start the brawl but we finished it!!!!!!!!!:geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige
Looks like someone got it all on film. http://miami.rivals.com/showmsg.asp?fid=116&tid=65686014&sid=&style=2 Notice in the next picture that he even stops to have his picture taken or is talking to a reporter. There is a state trooper standing next to them. If he was snatching a ball from a kid don't you think the cop would do something?
Well, there is TV coverage that shows a fan throwing a drink. But it was in the LSU portal! Any Miami player HAS NO BUSINESS THERE and deserves to get a drink thrown on him for coming into the LSU locker area and trying to start a fight. They also deserved to get their asses whipped for starting a fight where they were going to be outnumbered. Miami is known for outstanding team speed, not brains.
It should be noted that the "ball boys" are not children, but adult students. There are dozens of them at every game carrying towels, footballs, and drinks for the team. And they do not own the game balls.
Gotta disagree with you, Red. Judging by the score and the way the cocanes rolled over and played dead, they didn't have speed, either.
See Salty's photo. Bowe was on the LSU sidelines. If he took a game ball from a Miami ball handler, then that ball "boy" was on the LSU sidelines and had no more rights to a game ball than did Bowe. On the other hand, Bowes clowning around with his homies from Miami may have been great fun for them, but he should have considered what bad feelings the other Miami players would make out of it. It was a dumb stunt and not the way champions should leave the field.
