Edwards didn't want to be redshirted last year. He's said he wants to contribute anyway possible for the Tigers to win. He was a great special teams player on kickoff coverage. He was always whoopin and hollerin out there ready to lay the lumber to somebody. Gotta love a kid with an attitude like that. He'll make his mark in Tiger history before he leaves LSU.

Both Edwards and Broussard were huge on special teams. Remember, Broussard recovered the safety in the SECCG.

Top to bottom, five deep, I would take our RB corp over ANY in the country. We could talk all day and debate who is better, etc.

But who among you would take any five RB's over Justin Vincent, Joseph Addai, Alley Broussard, Barrington Edwards, and Shyrone Carey.

I used to think we had a good RB team when we had Kevin Faulk and Rondell Mealey--but I never dreamed of FIVE great backs on the same team.

I love the guy that says did any of you watch the game when we stopped LSU's running game? Hello we do actually play other games besides just the Florida game. All we had then was a busted up Addai if I remember correctly.

With our stables loaded as they are, do you think any of our RBs are going to transfer? Any one of them could start at any other D-1 program, and they all deserve a shot at playing on Sundays. Sometimes I feel bad for these guys. Its like they're selling themselves short in a way. I love these guys and I'm glad they're on our side, but sometimes I can't help but feel a little selfish.

Like I could've grown up to be the best hockey player ever....but it doesn't snow in Louisiana....so I never realized my potential. :)

The NFL never realized Rohan's talent until Booty left. Same thing with Craig Nall...he turned out to be a pretty good pro QB, no thanks to us.

I guess they always have the combines and pro day.

We never knew we had a heisman hopeful in Justin Vincent until Addai and Carey got hurt....Saban was unable to see that talent in practice. I just hope that Saban see's the talent with the QB situation and not base his decision on experience...or hierarchy. I hope he doesn't do a trial and error type deal with it either b/c that takes time and games.

We did know JV was special, we just didn't think he'd develop this fast. Coming out of high school he was one of the top 5 RB's in the nation along with Clarett.

Coach Saban's player evaluation skills improve year after year as well as his overall coaching skills. Headman is NOT a flash in the coaching pan. He will utilize his experience and pick the right players for the right positions based on what he has learned as a football coach in college as well as the pros. He is the highest paid college football coach in the nation simply because he is the BEST college football coach in the nation. Mark my words: The LSU football team this year will come out screaming. They have the player talent and the coaching to run the table. We are gonna be damn good this year,"no brag, just fact".

Well, with all due respect to the fine group you've referenced, and assuming we are discussing only running backs (not O-lines).... I'll take Auburn's five, as will most NFL scouts to come.

Cadillac, Ronnie Brown, Tres Smith, Carl Stewart, and Kenny Irons. Notice that freshmen Brad Lester and Jerald Watson (speedster, Morgan City) aren't even on the radar yet. That being said, Justin Vincent is the real deal and I'm looking forward to seeing him in the spring game.

Caddilac, one thing that really surprised me was Watson saying that one of the reasons he went to AU was he was promised he would probably play as a freshman, is he going to be moved to WR, I can't see him getting anytime at RB with those guys and Lester is good, I've seen him play.
