I'll actually be in Chicago on the 30th, so I will probably get that game if it's regional. I wish you guys a lot of luck. But it will be hard for you to get past both OSU and Michigan (unless ND is so bad that they made Michigan look good.)
I think right now the Big10 and the SEC are the cream of the crop. The Big 12 has taken a hit, the ACC is in dissarray, the PAC10 and Big East have a bunch of mediocre teams. All that really matters is that the qulaity of play in the SEC is very high and enjoyable to watch.
Tigersnarl, for some reason I've always concluded that teams in highly populated areas sometimes get more press... and therefore SEC fans are more avid about stating their case to anyone who will listen. Or maybe because I live down here and have no trouble flashing my Hawkeye colors, I get more people that make sure I hear the music. I do know one thing, we've got some real homers in the Big Ten, too. I feel the same way about them.
The Big ten is at least watchable now that they have discovered the speedy athlete from the.................South.
Yup, I use to play Hawkeye tapes on fast-forward just to make us look like we had speed. It sure makes Tim Dwight look like Olympic material.
It is pretty amazing how Iowa is especially recruiting Dixie. Just a quick glimpse of your roster showed about 22 of the 90 something listed from the South. They must take their official visit in the summer or early fall.
* Since conference expansion in 1992, four different SEC teams have claimed national championships – Alabama (1992), Florida (1996), Tennessee (1998) and LSU (2003). Auburn was undefeated in 1993 and 2004. * In its history, the SEC has won 72.4 percent of its non-conference games (2203-811-91). * For 24 straight seasons, the SEC has led the nation in total attendance. * Using current conference alignments, the SEC leads the nation with 175 bowl wins in its history.
