You made a serious statement saying this was "all a guise" and that you think he sounds "fine" and then you implied that he just saw that the Notre Dame offense would be anemic and quit because of that...You know he has lost about 30 pounds?

Also, he took the job in January and he had surgery in March.

    Cutcliffe to Resign from ND

I'm not tryign to make a huge deal out of it, but what you said was pretty ridiculous to say...

I heard him on the radio in early May. He said he was doing great and was excited about the upcoming season. You may have his doctor's ear, but health reasons are used many times to change the scenery. It is my opinion that Cutcliffe left Notre Dame because it was not going to help land a head coaching job. It is my opinion Cutcliffe realized, after spring football practice, Notre Dame's offense is going to be anemic.

im going to agree with you, cause thats the only thing that makes sense...

Im sure there was some behind the scenes stuff we don't know...

but him quitting right in the middle of practices and stuff... sounds kinda fishy to me.. I think the "health reason" could have been a cop out.

He takes the job in January.

He has to have by-pass surgery in March.

He has to rehab and loses 30 pounds.

He decides that working 12 hours a day, half out in the heat isn't a great idea after all of the above...

Am I the only one who understands the time line above?

Also, you say he "sounds fine" on the radio...Well, bypass surgery has nothign to do with your voice. He can sound fine but still not be allright physically...

You make a ridiculous allegation about this guy and have little to back it up other than a hunch that this guy is using a guise about bypass surgery to leave Notre Dame. You say he took the job after the surgery which you obviously made up...

Having to quit a stressful job because of bypass surgery doesn't make sense?

Cutcliffe dealth with health issues and questions at Ole Miss. He was interviewed in May and said he was fine. There is serious rehad with by-pass surgery, but people come back quickly these day, a la Huggins at UC (he is much more type-A than Cutcliffe). I sincerely apologize for offending your sense of cardic knowledge rehab. I was only expressing my thinking on Cutcliffe's leaving such high profile position.
