Tiger defense beats the hell out of Leak. Tigers put together an A- or A game. Finally 'really' put it together and win going away. Beat Florida by 17 or more points.
I am really not too worried about Fla, our Dline should Leek busy all day. But I have been trying to decide if the Bama that played Fla is the real Bama or did they just pull one out of their butt.
Don't forget how well Florida has played us at home in recent years... The better team doesn't always win - see 2003. I believe that Bama team was a little better than its self, but that the Florida team also played beneath itself. Bama is a good team, but that game made them look better than they really are.
Let's not forget, that just last year it was Saban vs. Zook and the game was very close. I expect another close one.
Fantastic statue. That should be the new "lawn jockey" that graces the front yard of every Tiger fan. :thumb:
Did Pete Fiutak write this? He's been on LSU's jock since the preseason, so weigh that accordingly if this is his write-up. Things need to start lining up LSU's way here to be even a semi-serious Rose Bowl contender come 4 weeks from now. Wins over an undefeated Alabama and one-loss Florida and Auburn would help...
I do love how the Florida boards are saying they have a good chance solely because of their record against us (winning the past 3 in BR, etc...) I do agree that this will not be a blow out... But I find it entertaining that the teams have no effect on their decision that Florida will win. They are playing in BR, so they will win...
LSU scores 28 and I believe they will win. I have no prediction for this game as I have little Faith in LSU coaching to prepare a winning gameplan and make competent coaching decisions in crunch time against a strong opponent. The Florida offensive line outside of their center can be manhandled by LSU, who should shut the running game down to nearly zip. Leak will be mauled, sacked, buried and benched. Portis will play early & often and likely finish the game. The only 2 questions are ... Can Florida make enough big passing plays using Leak & Portis, a mobile young QB to keep Fla close in the game? Can the LSU offense avoid giving the game to Florida with turnovers & key penalties that kill drives (a sign of decent coaching that has been lacking thus far)? We see a first half like Vandy again and LSU is done!
