OK, Matt Maloney had a good game this week but how can Craig (meant Greg) Smith keep getting overlooked for SEC pitcher of the week? He has thrown 2 consecutive complete game shutouts and over 25 consecutive innings without giving up a run.

    PITCHER OF THE WEEK
    Matt Maloney • Ole Miss
Junior • LHP • Huron, Ohio

    • Recorded his first career shutout and SEC win in Ole Miss' 5-0 win over Mississippi State on Saturday, throwing a complete game, two-hitter... The Rebels went on to record their first three-game sweep of the Bulldogs since 1978 ... Faced just two batters of the minimum and threw extactly 100 pitches, 66 for strikes
    • Did not allow a Bulldog baserunner to reach second base ... Carried a one-hitter into the ninth ... For the season, is 5-1, with four saves, and a 1.83 ERA (68.2 IP, 14 ER).

Maloney probably deserved it since it is 'pitcher of the week " and not pitcher of the past 3 weeks. However, they could have given Smith a little love an overlooked that fact.
