    In week six the LSU offense is up a notch, showing a bit of improvement. Defense remains strong. Special teams slipped a bit on kickoff returns. Sacks are down, turnover margin is down.

    Total Offense = Auburn #1 . . . LSU #10 up from #11
    Scoring Offense = Alabama #1 . . . LSU # 10 (up from #11)
    Passing Offense = Arkansas #1 . . . LSU #12 for the 6th straight week . . .
    Rushing Offense = Auburn #1 . . . LSU #5 (down from #4)

    Total Defense = LSU #1 for the 3rd week
    Scoring Defense = Alabama #1 . . . LSU # 3 down from #2
    Passing Defense = Kentucky #1 . . . LSU #3 for the 2nd week
    Rushing Defense = LSU #1 . . . for the 3rd week

    Punt Returns = Ole Miss #1. . . LSU #2 for the 2nd week
    Kick Returns = Alabama #1 . . . LSU #4 (down from #3)
    Punt defense = State #1 . . . LSU #7 (up from #6)
    Kick defense = Georgia #1 . . . LSU #3 for the 2nd week

    Fumbles Lost = State #1 . . . LSU #11 for the 2nd week
    Fumbles recovered = Auburn #1 . . . LSU #3 for the 2nd week
    Sacks =Carolina #1 . . . LSU #3 down from #2
    Tackles for Loss = Vanderbilt #1 . . . LSU #2 for the 3rd week
    Turnover margin = Alabama #1 . . . LSU #10 (down from #9)

    Halfway through the season and LSU is consistently at the tall end of every category except on offense. Defense and special teams may carry us a ways yet.

    Due to such horrible passing statistics for the first 4 games, it would take a few games of 300+ passing yardage for use to climb out of the bottom of the rankings....and if we're having to pass for THAT much yardage, then it's a game we're probably losing badly, so in that reguard, I'm ok if we don't climb out of the bottom half in passing this year.
