Smoke didn't do anything wrong today. Mestepey had to start. The lineup is fine. The players just aren't delivering.
I've been waiting for that to happen ALL season. It never did. It is the #1 reason why I used to say that this team doesn't give a rat's *** about playing ball. Of course that's a Homer-ish thing to say, but I'd love to see this team play with emotion just ONCE... It's just not the same. I like how other SEC teams play with a little fire in their bellies... LSU players just stand there with blank stares on their faces.
That's because they felt like they were playing at home after that...ya know 'home field advantage'. :hihi: I was picking...there's no 't' in 'Clemens'.:yelwink2:
100% agree with this post. This team has been going through the motions all year. I disagree in starting Mestapey to keep the rotation intact. He has been struggling all year. Starting another pitcher might have shaken things up a bit, which is what this team needs. Everybody's worried about LSU getting a top 8 seed. I am worried about winning our regional. :tigbas:
We have to get on the board. If State scores two more runs and we don't score at all, this game is over. There's a 10 point rule. If 7 innings go by and one team is ahead by 10, then it's over. Doesn't help that State just got runners in position at 2nd and 3rd with no one out.
