http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080315/ap_on_re_us/atlanta_storm i am kinda shocked that there was an actual warning and nothing was done to stop play and move people at leas out of the top part of the ga dome. seems a bit irresponsible to me. did no one know?
the safest thing to do is keep all those people in the same place. sending them out would be irresponsible...the Georgia Dome was probably the safest place to be
i agree to IN the building. but they should have been moved to the lower interior areas of the building, or at the very least out of the upper areas. those upper areas were a dangerous place to be in. i can remember a tornado warning when i was at a college game here in oklahoma when i was little. the game was stopped, and everyone moved out of the seats and into interior halls of the building, and the teams to the locker rooms. i have known people that have experienced the same things at plays and concerts.
Reports are a tornado near Polk County may have killed 2 today. Really bad weather just north of Atlanta again. The fatalities were reported by someone in the area. http://news.mywebpal.com/partners/680/public/news885887.html [FONT=Verdana,Arial] [FONT=Verdana,Arial] Rescue officials have been dispatched to the Old Wax Road area of Floyd County, where a tornado touched down, damaging houses and injuring some residents.
