I just finished reading al.com's article about LSU eliminating the University of Alabama from the SEC tourney. The highlight of the article was the writer's admission that Bama's on a downward spiral by losing two games to Auburn and then losing back to back games in the SEC tourney. The scribe reported that any hopes of hosting a regional are busted and he quoted coach Wills as saying something about them being glad to play anywhere. The very first reader comment after the article was this: Posted by SharkNDWater on 05/21/09 at 7:54PM First Basketball, than Baseball. What next?? Oh, Oh, I just opened the door. :wave:!!

You know, I tried to guess who was winning by the tone of the announcers' voices but they sounded so monotonous and unexciting, I actually believed LSU was losing 5-2...until I got home and found out we were actually winning the game from a headline on NOLA.com of all places. I wish I didn't rant so much, in retrospect, but am I the only one who thinks baseball announcing from the LSU network sucks ??? Okie Tiger, you lookin for a side job??
let me just say i have experienced the same, coming in on a game and not knowing the score for quite a while because hawthorne doesnt think to tell us. for me to talk more about it would be like beating a dead horse to death. (some of you will get that.) nope. but i will help interview the applicants!
Yall are right about him not saying the score enough....I have gotten used to listening to the sound of his voice to see if we are ahead or behind. If he sounds like he is suicidal ,and in danger of offing himself at any moment we are losing and have played very bad and havent got any breaks either. If he sounds mildly down then we are behind but within striking distance
the tv announcers yesterday drove me crazy. they went on about notre dame for what seemed like a good 5 minutes. or more. :rolleye33: they were pretty bad.
