Anyone in BR know what channel the first two rounds will be broadcast on here? I don't see the SEC tourney/game in the listings.. Need to record them on my dvr, heading out of town.
So you would agree that in major league baseball the long season of 162 games should determine the champ and not the 7 game world series?
I am a bit surprised to see *you* debating this. Just bored and havign fun stirring the pot? Obviously the major conference basketball sec tourneys are not comparable to the world freakin series!
Why not just name Auburn "World Champions of the World"? Silly Barner..........the regular season champ is the SEC Champion. The winner of the SECT is the SECT champion.
...which is what I was saying at the beginning of this thread. The question that bears asking is "does one outweigh the other?" IMO, no. There isn't a better gauge of what your team has than playing against competition on a neutral court. The notion that the tourney is a "waist of time" is just (insert the adjective of your choice.) The selections of the Big Dance are largely determined by what happens in these conference tourneys. You need to only look at 'Cuse and their victory over UConn yesterday to reinforce that point. Or, the GW loss yesterday. If UT were to fall to USC today...you don't think that'll effect the opinion of the NC2A selectors?
