I love the SEC and hate the Pac-1 but I may have to pull for Stanford on Tuesday. I got sick and tired of hearing "Candice Parker" even when she was on the bench. I'm sure ESPN won't mention that we missed a ton of FTs,,,it will be all about how Candice Parker played in pain yet still won.
Hell of a coach and hell of a player and I dislike them both, but you can't deny they are both great.
and we didn't. and after playing good D all game we allow a cheapie to end it. feel bad for all the seniors. they deserved better than to go out with yet another final 4 loss.
Missed free throws cost LSU this game. Defense was mostly solid. You can't expect to hold Tennessee to much less. LSU had early bonus free throws that could have given them a huge advantage in this low scoring game. Get those girls on the free throw line and have them shoot from now until next season starts.
Ill beat my dead horse one more time. How do you not make Parker go left!!! Especially on the last play!o:o:o:o:o:o:
Disappointing to say the least... Think of how difficult it is to make it to the Final Four, and to do it five straight years. Of course, what are the chances of losing the semifinal five straight years. I feel bad for Syl, she played a helluva game. Not that it matters at this point, but could these ESPN blowhards have been more pro-Tenn.? The lack of respect for LSU pisses me off more than losing. Oh well... :geauxtige
Regardless of outcome of the game itself, LSU still went toe-to-toe with the defending champions. To make it to the final four is hard, no matter what sport you play. LSU has made it five years in a row. Five. Only one other school has done that in the history of the tournament. It wasn't a pretty game, but I'm still proud of the women for making it this far. We'll get over that hump. Just wait. Van's the man.
Not trying to be a sore loser. I think we stunk from the free throw line and couldn't hit an outside shot. I also think Tennessee stunk. They missed many shots as well. Even so...it is TRUE that they camped out in the lane quite a bit. I believe we were called for it once but I don't recall TN being called at all. Not trying to make excuses but we did only lose by a point.
