unfortunately, upon reading the link lasalle provided, it looks like it doesnt matter...

it appears this vote may have been largely symbolic. :(

Good news on ethanol subsidies. You should avoid ethanol in boats lawn equipment or any other gasoline that could sit there and not be used for a while. Oddly enough, the cheapest gas here in Lake Charles is ethanol free. I fill up there almost exclusively.

true, but killing off corn subsidy will mean cane sugar will be more competitive again.

It still can't compete with Latin America.

That is odd because it is .10 to .20 higher than the ethanol crap here in Oklahoma.

I know, so are most of the other ethanol free joints here. I don't understand it. I guess they could be lying but they literally have huge signs advertising no ethanol.

It pisses me off to pay more for ethanol free gas. But I do because I hate ethanol.

And I thought it was the law that a station has to post on the pump if a feul contains ethanol. It is here in ok, not sure about. Louisiana.

The main difference of course is the ethanol subsidies are tax credits so the ethanol industry can be profitable (handouts), and the so-called oil subsidies are tax deductions and credits that reduce the taxable income for expenses they incur in the production process.

I think it's the law here to. And don't think of it as paying more for no ethanol, think of it as paying less for ethanol laden gas.
