as great as lavalais was this year, he's not even a lock for the first round. so, this game can only help him in his draft order

The Senior Bowl game, year in and year out, is THE college all-star game in which players can help themselves out the most with NFL scouts. The week of practices leading up to the game is much like an NFL combine. In the 60s and 70s I used to go to the practices and it was an incredible who's-who of the NFL there watching: nearly all the head coaches, many of the assistants and of course all the scouts. I say a player can only do himself good by going to this game.

I went to NFLDraftCountdown.com today and I saw Chad Lavalais at #62 going to the Colts. MC was #27 going to Philly. If Chad does real good in practices for the Senior Bowl, he can continue to go up and up in the Draft.
