I have no idea if it's true or not. Pure speculation on my part.....O'Reilly is an old-school white dude. Sexist-type jokes and comments were probably funny at one point in his career. It doesn't fly well with today's outspoken female media-types. Perhaps he meant nothing in the way he delivered certain lines or behaviors but it looks like they were received that way.

He's doubling down but I don't think he has any other choice given the nature of the accusations. I do think Roger Ailes has looked the other way for far too long and any company's culture is defined by the Jabba in the top chair.

 

Im at a loss here. On one hand I am told we need to treat women equal. Well, I tell my guy friends very bad things in a joking manner and they all take it that way, as a joke. I know for certain I cannot joke with a female in the way I joke with my buds.
