I listened to part of an interview that ESPN did with Shaq on Sunday. While most of the interview focused on trying to get Shaq to say something negative about Kobe, he mentioned that he is working on his master's degree. Hats off to Shaq for pushing himself academically ! One of his statements was basically that between raising five kids and working on his masters, he doesn't have to time to worry about what other people (meaning Kobe) say or do off the court. The interviewer asked Shaq what he would do if Kobe called him on his cell phone, and Shaq (in classic Shaq style) stated that he didn't have a cell phone and that if Shaq wants to contact someone he does. The interview ended with the interviewer (referring to Kobe's alleged desire to make the Lakers his team without Shaq) mentioning that sometimes you have to be careful what you wish for or you might get it, Shaq responded "You said it, not me !"
It was curious to hear Shaq not say anything good or bad and then hear Kobe say he was going to miss his "partner in crime".
