a first I would have thought running back, but after reading these posts, and thinking about it - Tight End.... third & five? throw it to shaq.... fourth & ten? throw it to shaq....
Well if we are being realistic, I don't think Shaq posseses the skills necessary to play D1 football at any position. If any he'd be best suited for OL.
lsugrad00,you can't be serious We are talking about the most athletic person in the world for his size. Exactly why do you think he could not be a tight end in college or the pros for that matter?
I agree he's a very gifted athlete but does he have the skills necessary to be a tight end?? He's quick, but is he fast enough to get seperation from a LB/DB/Safety? He has good hands, but can he catch a football while on the run and hold onto it when he gets hit? He's strong and gets hacked allot on the court, but can he take a hit from NFL/D1 lineback who wants to seperate his head from his body. I don't know and I'd guess no simply because chances are he doesn't. This is by no means a knock on Shaq I just don't think there is more to the game than we understand.
