The 2nd quarter fumble cost us three and the drop by Henderson cost us seven. Those two plays alone would change the score to 21-10. Brees underthrown pass in the 2nd quarter may have taken 3-7 points off the board as well. Far too many mistakes against an average team that really needs a win. I really don't think we can win it all with this secondary. We need to get healthy quick!
The offense can't convert on 3rd down and the defense can't get off the field on 3rd down. They need to take Romo's head off.
We have made Jason Campbell, a backup for Atlanta, and Tony Romo look great in our last three games. You could expect that from Brett Favre or Peyton Manning but if we're having problems stopping these guys we need to get in gear quick.
That cost us another couple of minutes off the clock. That means instead of winning in regulation, we'll have to go to OT tied at 24.
As poorly as we've played and as well as Dallas has played this game is 24-10. If Henderson doesn't drop the TD...it's 24-17. If Brees deosn't fumble just before halftime...it's 21-17. If Brees doesn't underthrown the deep pass for a TD...who knows. Let's hope we can do it again!
