No, and who we gonna get rid of to make room for a QB coach? We just got all new O coordinators there isn't an available spot. Now if we get rid of Gary then there would be, but then we need a qualified O coordinator, not just a QB coach.

Gonzales will be doing a lot of quarterback coaching this season as "passing gamme coordinator". Les just didn't want to appear to be demoting Crowton from one of his jobs, but . . .

But having never played or coached QB before, how qualified is he? How common is it for a non QB to coach QBs?

He was involved with coaching Tebow as well but did not hold the title of QB coach. Strictly QB coaches holding that title are not the norm in college football. Usually it is the OC, Passing game coordinator, etc.. who is also the QB coach. Not enough spots to go around. I suspect the new TEs Coach, Emsinger, will also work with the QBs.

But who is primarily responsible for QB coaching? Crowton or Gonzales? JJ seemed to indicate from spring ball that both were involved. If that's the case that's not exactly confidence-boosting. At this point I no more believe Crowton could coach up a QB than I could.
