Redshirt freshman tailback Antonio Robinson of Winnfield has left the LSU football team because of a lack of playing time, coach Les Miles said on Wednesday.
Robinson gained 1,672 yards and scored 19 touchdowns as a senior at Winnfield High in 2004 and was considered the top running back in the state. He was also a member of recruiting expert Tom Lemming's prep All-American team in 2004 and was ranked as the No. 14 back in the nation by Collegefootballnews.com and No. 21 by ESPN.
