Man Calls 911 to Complain He's 'Too High,' Officers Find Him Surrounded by Junk Food A man in Austintown, Ohio called police and complained he was “too high” after smoking pot, according to reports. Authorities were called to the home on Friday evening by a 22-year-old man who had smoked marijuana, according to the police report. The officer responding to the call could reportedly hear the man groaning from a room in the house. The officer found the man “on the floor in the fetal position” and “was surrounded by a plethora of Doritos, Pepperidge Farm Goldfish and Chips Ahoy cookies,” according to the report. The man also told the officer he couldn’t feel his hands because “he smoked too much weed,” according to the report. The smoker sent the cop to his car where he had allegedly smoked the drug and the officer recovered a glass pipe, rolling papers and a glass jar containing marijuana. The unidentified man declined medical treatment and he has not been charged with a crime. Omar Pettigen, 31, allegedly used a tomahawk that hung on the wall of his 64-year-old mother’s Monroe apartment to strike her on the head before shooting her in the back at least seven times and cutting open her chest to pick up her heart, according to court documents obtained by The New York Daily News. He put the heart back in Nailah Pettigen’s body and then reportedly masturbated because “he needed to be with himself and needed a release after the event,” the documents apparently said. You kill an animal as a source of food, or for protection. Otherwise your just wasting a valuable resource.
Taking specimens for study is as old as science. How else could Darwin have made his discoveries without specimens to study? But a rare endangered species is something else entirely. In that case you leave them alone. Or in some special cases, you take some live specimens and attempt to reproduce them in captivity, both to preserve them and reintroduce them to the wild. Then specimens that die of natural causes would be available for dissection and mounting for study.
