Look on the bright side: if Mangino got hungry, Miles might go missing!

    One more:

    4. Dave Christensen. Offensive Coordinator, Missouri Tigers. (He's already used to being passionate about 'Tiger' football.)

    Chuck Long - Kansas OC
    Paul Petrino - Illinois OC
    Neal Brown- Texas Tech OC
    Billy Gonzales - you know
    Trooper Taylor - Auburn WR

There are a lot of good choices out there. Almost anyone would be an improvement over Crowton.

    Yeah.

The other thing to note is that it might be tough to convince someone that is already an OC or Asst Head Coach to come in here as the job is a lateral move on the resume.

The only hope of enticing an existing OC over is either (a) the program is a huge jump in prestige and/or money, or (b) there is a tie-in to the program in terms of it being an alma mater or in your home state, etc.

The only big question on Applewhite is does he have enough experience yet?

Don't take this as a defense for Miles, if he is such an idiot how do you explain the turn around on defense. I know the Chief is in control of the D, would it not make since that Crowton is in total control of the offense? I would think (but then again it is Miles) that you are either hands off or on, and it appears he just let's the coordinators manage the game. I would hate to boot him and loose the chief now that we are clicking. A new head coach may want to bring in his on man on D. Just so your not confused after last week I am not in the Miles camp.

I think, and I could be wrong, that CLM will ease GC out the door like the Double Trouble Defense Twins of 08. He won't throw him under the bus to satisfy peoples blood lust - not his style. Remember, people thought it was a great hire in 2007. And by people I mean the same pundicks who are making fun of him now.

And another thing - -Mike Leach? And your concerned about buffoonery?

How many of you out there are trembling at the thought that Miles handcuffs Crowton this week...LSU gets 400 yards of offense against the Gators....we finish the season with one or two losses....win a BCS bowl game...Hire an effective OG in the offseason...and finish in the top four in recruiting ??
