Skyler is a talented guy, and I think LSU has continued to underutilize him throughout his stay here. We all know, even the nation knows, how good he is on punt/kickoff returns in special teams, but the coaches haven't been able to use him enough in our offense. Reggie Bush isn't that good of a pure running back IMO, but it's because of the coaching scheme that allows him to maximize his abilities & be a play maker. I believe that Skyler could be used in many of the same ways as Reggie & be very, very successful.

My guess would be they didn't want to push Skyler's ankle to much during the first game, and I'm really hoping he becomes a force throughout the season.

skyler may be "healthy", but i dont think he is as fast as he was in 03. ginn and bush would have made more yards on a couple of those catches. hopefully he'll get back that last 1% that separates tds from just good plays.

We really need to work in some of those bubble screen type plays to Skyler.

They're few and far between, but there were a few last season.

Guys like Bush and Ginn and Xavier are definately speed guys. Skyler is more of you "quick" type of player. He (Skyler) has good speed--just not great--but where he creates his seperation is with great cuts and instincts.

it just seemed like he was caught a couple of times against asu when he would have gotten away in 03. obviously there's no way to know for sure. i guess the best measure is the number of big plays he gets this season, but there is still a lot of different variables.

Ok, I apologize for the "gay" comment. For the record I really couldn't care less if someone gives me neg rep, but to give it to me for complimenting one of our Tigers, is lame to say the least.
