:helmet: I just think that is because he i sa short reciever and usually he is put with a bigger and taller corner on him and so it would just b stupid to throw to him in that case. i think it is just because he is small.:geauxtige

Well, most of our big pass plays are when Russell rolls out and either improvs, or by a designed roll-out, and looks downfield to our bigger, taller, receivers.

Bowe and Davis have the bodies and height to use themselves to "shield" the defender (which Bowe did perfectly on that winning grab in OT yesterday).

Skyler IS a playmaker. But Skyler's frame is no bigger than most corner backs he faces. Is that a huge problem? Not really....but when you have 2 other guys that can use their bodies better downfield, then that's who you use.

When you want to throw a 30-40 yard pass, over the shoulder of your receiver that has position, you throw it to your 6'3" and 6'2" receivers and if they have to "go up" to get it, then they have an even bigger advantage over the likely 5'10 - 6'0" corner that's guarding them.

Skyler needs more slants, 5-yard outs-n-ups and bubble screens where he can use his agility to break for more yards.

We disagree here. If he were a great route runner i.e. J Reed (same size), then he would be open. I will watch more closely...the one game I saw in person was Auburn...he was getting beat at the line, could not get separation, it was bad.

Other than when Skylar is open for the screen passes, when he is down field it does seem he's overthrown alot. Maybe it is because of his height.

I've seen several passes this year to him where he was open, just overthrown.

why take a chance of getting one of the best punt returners hurt catching a pass when Tigers have tall quick recievers on the bench? Let SG alone he is awesome where he is at. Bowe, Brazil. Doucet, Davis, Carter should be plenty enough to catch the ball anywhere on the field.

Well, we agree on something. Josh Reed was one of the best route runners I have ever seen. He was open on every pass play.
