as per scout this morning. He will visit here this weekend but unfortunately goes to Tenn. the last week end. Do we have any visits besides RP on the last weekend, or are we gonna give him undivided attention? I think we will lose Shelly to Tenn. as we are just too loaded at reciever. Here is my best case senario as it comes to the last four weeks of recruiting. Pick up: RP Fred Rouse (if truely a package deal, I think this would be the shock RP keeps talking about as Rouse is out for LSU) R.J. Jackson Brandon LaFell Nick Harris Slick Shelly Chris Keys And I would be happy with picking up just 2 or 3 of these.
Last weekend is RP (some indications he may visit on this Monday) Powe Keys This weekend we have Pegues, Patrick Jackson, and Slick.
I though Pegues was no longer coming. I though he was going to Miss St this weekend and Ole Miss the final one.
So, our WR corps may include these names: Early Dwayne Buster Xavier Skyler Slick Amp Benny This is like a group of Super Hero names...
I was going to say that Tenn. is pretty loaded at receiver as well...but I looked at their roster, and Shelly would make more of an impact there immediately than he would here. They probably have 3 or 4 experienced SEC quality recievers returning, while we have at least 7. But you can never have too many good receivers.
LSU has no WRs in this year's class. Tennessee has 3 if you include WR/DB Lucas Taylor. Shelley would be the tallest WR on our roster at 6' 4" if his height is listed correctly. Looked pretty tall, looked solid, don't remember him dropping many passes. I hope he commits to LSU this weekend. :lsup:
