mcdonalds isnt bad for you in the same way that smoking is bad for you. i am very healthy and i eat at mcdonalds regularly. that would not be true if i smoked regularly. smoking cant really be integrated into a healthy lifestyle, but mcdonalds can. particularly if you avoid french fries, in which case i dont even really think mcdonalds is particularly bad for you. cigarettes are really a total disaster. when a young person starts, it can mean a lifetime of wasted money and general ****tiness. bad teeth, bad breath, no cardio ability. just terrible. if my kid started smoking i would beat him senseless, repeatedly.
does this really need to be explained to anyone above 3rd grade or are you just replying to say how healthy you are along with the other kenyans? critical thinking not your forte'?
fair point, i do like to talk about how healthy i am. but in my defense, lasalle needs very simple things explained to him.
thats cool, lets review my upcoming schedule: 5 mile race sunday bronx half marathon random central park half marathon half marathon in sata fe in november chicago marathon in oct las vegas hal in december goal time, chicago: 3:27 (the kenyans will go 2:08) thanks for giving me this tiny opening for me to wedge my healthy running posts in.
i guess, but this is a tiresome point that people really do make all the time. if mcdonalds is unhealthy, so is cake palace in baton rouge (which i love), and every other restaurant and grocery store on earth.
anytime, its my thread and you know how i dont believe in killing discussion despite the topic. so is that right under an 8 minute mile? I think you should smoke a cigarette right at the finish line. I think if you stop at any point you should be dq'd.
the point is do we really need a picture of black lungs on a pack of smokes? I am going to bet that the majority of smokers already know the risks. Just seems like wasted money to me. As far as McDonalds goes, do you think the majority of McDonalds patrons are people who eat there once a day and work it all off? People that live healthy lifestyles?
