today snort just made it easy....cooked up some cream biscuits and baked shrimp for supper...

baked biscuits: 2 cups self-rising flour, 1 tbl sugar, 1 1/2 cups cream. combine dry ingredients and add cream slow until dough forms into a ball. take 1/2 the dough and knead it 5 times on lightly floured surface (don't overwork or it'll be tough). cut with 3 1/2" biscuit cutter (or use the rim of a glass) and put on greased pan. repeat for 2nd half of the dough. bake at 500 degrees for 10 minutes.

shrimps: now for these not to have gone in a gumbo or jambalaya they had to be big (13-15 count per pound....stand on their own). take your favorite creole seasoning (lots) and just toss the cleaned and peeled shrimps in the seasoning. i added a little key lime juice (could use lemon juice) and a little balsamic vinegar too. let them marinate for at least an hour in the fridge. take them out and bake at 350 degrees for 4 minutes. then flip with spatula and cook another 4 minutes. take them out and pour the sauce left in the pan on top (can also have melted a little butter mixed with basil to pour on top too).

    and that's it.......here is what it looks like.....shrimp and biscuits, nice and light and oh so gooood :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :
