correct no need to be touchy on this one (referring to the person objecting to the lovely Erin Andrews' remarks) It was classic Les at his very best. And then he simply embarrassed the phuck out of one of the brightest minds in college football over the next 60 minutes.
I didn't see a muffed punt. A muffed punt cannot be advanced. I saw Mathieu swat the ball out of the returner's hand, then scoop and score. The 'sloppy play' by the OU freshman were outright strips of the ball by Loston and Reid.
That's kind of what he said when EA asked him about it. Something to the effect of a hyped up team ready to explode out of the tunnel and him wanting to get out of their way. I though he handled the aftermath brilliantly even when she threw him that subtle barb.
She asked him if he was confused coming out of the tunnel and he said something to the effect that the team was so eager that he got out of the way. She then said No, I think you were confused. I expected him to pretend to crush her head like he did Tracy Wolfson. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bNm67CoMHM4]Les Miles 1/2 Time at Tennessee - YouTube[/ame]
Funniest thing I've seen all day. I've always kind of liked Miles, never knew why exactly, it's starting to register. During his interview with Erin, I saw something that made me laugh; Erin Andrews is so tall, that while interviewing she slumps her back, or maybe even bends her knees, so as to get the camera angle correct. You can see her head rising and lowering while she begins her interviewing. Erin was also readjusting because the bill of Mile's hat was interfering a little. During all this, you could see Miles was watching her, taking it all in. Les Miles then started,... slightly, raising and lowering his head in response to her. For a few seconds, they had a subtle little, see/saw, head dance thing going on. Cracked me up.
She looked visibly disturbed when Les walked away. I hate that pig-man announcer Burnt Lung-quest but he was pretty funny with his remark.
What I loved about the moment was Les who cares where he is running - just look at him smiling and taking in the moment Les is a gem in the land of lumps of coal - he knows just what he has and just what his team is going to do We should follow our coach and smile and enjoy the moments more often
