by the way, i looked into it, and you are lying about that. the practice team is not good male former college players. it is male students who play basketball. some of them were good enough to play at very small colleges but didnt. none of them are former college players, much less "very good" former college players.

martin, my friend, you are the misguided one. when has dunking ever won anyone a college basketball game or an NBA for that matter. your comments imply that you know very little about basketball. in order to dunk, you must get to the goal. you act as though these women basketball players are just going to lie down and let the men dunnk on them. perhaps, these women will play some defense. maybe? and if the men run them over to dunk that ball, maybe they will charge and be called for a foul? basketball is not about dunking, it's about putting the basketball in the hoop anyway you can.

I live in NYC and play pick up basketball at a place called reebok that attracts some great women hoops players. these girls paly with the men nad some of them are damn good.

your supposed analygous comment about boxing is probably the worst I have ever heard. can ali's daughter beat a terrible professional boxer? ptrobably not, but we're not talking about boxing. I would say basketball is a little different. I think you're dead wrong about the LSU women not being able to beat ANY men's team - SEC definately not, slippery rock, probably.

Martin is right about the part about any college men's team completely destroying a dream team of women players. There is no comparison really. I think the reason he made the dunking comment was to show how easily the guys would beat them. Overmatched.

a team of me, tirk and tigereducated, with a 40 year younger sabanfan, and lsugrad00, coached by iststltls would have a chance if we practiced. hell i am 5 foot 9 and 180, and faster than any woman on lsu's team. i could post up those little 5' 3 130 pound women guards no problem. hell, i can even touch the rim. i doubt the opposing guards on the women's team coud do that.
