Based upon that story and the writing style, could ramah have been the gonzo journalist himself, Hunter S. Thompson? Might the good doctor have developed an interest in LSU and created this fictional ramah character to stoke the flames on this message board? Has ramah posted since HST's death last month? Could they be one in the same?
lol @ bookies. he wasnt even aware of the actual betting process. one of many holes in his many myths. quite the imagination. the real reason he left is he couldnt produce a picture of his infamous blown glass collection and needed a way out. tygertail wouldn't let up. lol i mean cmon, look at that fish. Thats some flea market type store in Denham. I was wondering about that JD as well. I didnt think it was flammable but he did say the black variety. Someone try it and be our resident Myth Busters.
Got the wife going to the class six right now, gonna test out two myths. 1.) Is Jack flammable 2.) What happens when it is poured on a cast and lite.
Only the JD vapors produced during the distilling process are flammable, the final product is not. I was told this by our guide during a tour of the JD distillery in Lynchburg.
did they state both varieties of jack or just the green label? I think there are two types since my sergeant always had to have the black label which I assume is the better, higher octane variety. I avoid hard lickers.... unless she's cute.
Jack Daniels is flammable but doesnt burn for a long time... the alcohol evaporates quickly only sustaining about 3 - 4 seconds of flame.... this was tested by pouring it on a fire lit in a fire place... it did burn but the the wetness didnt allow a long burn.
