  3. Wars do cause oil prices to escalate and often cause economic crises as well. But the current crisis is a result of fiscal mismanagement by government and the financial industry. The war and the ongoing world oil depletion just complicate the situation.
  4. Wars also cause Economic up-turns. See World War II for example, that brought us out of the depression.
  5. It also bankrupted and finished an international Superpower -- Great Britain.
  6. I was just making a point it goes both ways, I never contradicted your point. see the word "also" in my post. I have no intention of saying this war brought economic up-turn in the US. I agree that it has actually hindered the economy to a degree, just playing devil's advocate with you.
  7. Correlation is not the same as causation. Read "Freakonomics" and this concept will become more clear.

  9. LOL, glad to provide that for you and your family.

The war was the spark that lit the fire and gas prices are the Santa Ana winds.

    Better?

Probably not, but I'm just throwing it out there. You guys can go read you spin books and listen to your political gurus tell you what they think. I'll stick with what I see with my own eyes.
