I went with Addai for all of the reasons stated above. Without a doubt, had Randall come in from game one and played like he did against Florida and Arkansas, he'd have been my choice. With that level of play from him, we could be the undefeated SEC team crying about being left out of the Orange Bowl--and that would've probably been the case (though our SOS may have lifted us above OU, but possibly not).
Tougher call than defense. Randall and Addai are strong candidates with their versatility and businesslike attitudes, but I go with Broussard. He played very hard in every game, even when he wasn't making yardage. He broke an important single-game rushing record. He's stronger and faster than last year and showed durability. And he's just a sophomore. LSU hasn't had a power running back with outside speed since Charles Alexander in the '70's. Alexander finished as a two-time All-American and a Heisman Trophy finalist.
maybe I am off the mark but the way Addai performed from beginning of the season til the end and was always there when called upon even after NS moved him to WR makes me wonder how anyone else could get a vote. Addai carried us when no one else was there and finished just as strong through the last game. I guess everyone has opinions, even though they're often misguided. Now I can see how Red voted for Kerry. Sometimes the obvious passes right by some people. (joking red, kinda) :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi:
Glad to see a few votes swing Randall's way. He really did save the season with his performance at Florida. And then to have the best game of his career possibly at Arkansas was a really nice way to end his last regular season game.
