1. We were happy at halftime. That was different.
  2. question:

if crowton is handcuffed even half as badly as is being assumed here, why has he not gone out and found another job?
  3. you have to know this answer. he makes 400k to pick the best of 3 answers in a multiple choice question. not a bad gig or addition to your resume'.

same reason jimbo stayed that extra year.

  4. Also to that effect... this 3rd year of straight dismal showing has Crowton written all over it... Chicago Bears, BYU, Oregon... all of those stops had the same effect we're seeing now... 1st season great and then more losses each and every season after... and the pattern continues at LSU.

If Dixon in '07 hadn't gotten hurt at the end of the season, Oregon wins the NC and we're not having these conversations about Les and Gary now. That '07 season has allowed us to keep the life support on.

  5. Yeah. Miles wins the BCS title and screws it up for everybody. That bastard.
  6. You really are a mental midget aren't you. We used every bit of our Cajun voo doo dust to get into that game. 2 losses, Pitt/WVU game, Dixon... we did not put ourselves in a position to be the best... we backed into it after everyone ahead of us fell apart... like i said if Dixon wouldn't have gotten hurt, Oregon is the '07 NC and Miles is a distant memory here. But yeah Miles did it all on his own... phuck bud... that team could've coached itself to a NC.
  7. The biggest issue I have with Crowton is the lack of development of the QBs.
  8. I've watched Crowton at LaTech extensively. I have seen a few games while he was the HC at BYU. I even caught a couple Oregon games. I see very little in nothing in common with the offenses he ran then and the one he's running now. He's always taken what he has, created plays by putting players with ability in open space and let them work. he turned Troy Edwards into a damn 1st round draft pick (by the Steelers who never get fooled so badly in the draft) with that philosophy.

His offense does not involve two TEs in tight to the line in any formation outside of goalline formations and special teams. His offense does not pound the RB into the interior line as a base offensive play.

Ergo, this is NOT Crowton's offense...

I was pleased to see the offense finally taking some shots downfield and using the TE last night, after setting up the play action with successful running.
  9. Then why are we wasting $400K on an OC who isn't allowed to do his job properly? If Les wants to run the offense then he should run the offense. That makes zero sense.
  10. Stats have been posted here showing that CGC's offenses have regressed each year at every stop since and including the Chicago Bears. Maybe statistics do lie. Also, Miles didn't seem to handcuff Mike Gundy at OSU. I don't know what to think but it is a frustrating spectacle. GEAUX TIGERS!!
