Many ASU fans that I have encountered expect either a loss or a very close game so I don't take what some morons say as their own fan base. With that said, the utter stupidity being put by some on that thread is amazing. Not as loud as Oregon? Not that talented at QB? Good lord, learn up on a subject before you talk about it
Well they did handle us in 2003, i will give them that. However, most people forget that they only beat us 24-17 in 2002. It was a 14-14 game at half-time. So to say they 'handled' us two years in a row is a bit of a stretch. Also, I don't understand how some Pac-10 fans can be like, well we beat Auburn two years in a row, so we obviously would have beaten them this year, and could beat any SEC school as well. Both of those years, USC won the Pac-10 and Auburn was a middle of the pack SEC team. Yea, USC beat us in 2003, but so did LSU, Ole Miss, Tech, etc. This past year, we beat all of those teams, so it stands to reason we would have given USC a much better game. It's a shame we can never see a SEC champion vs. the Pac 10 champion.
By handled, I mean, of course, defeated. Bragging rights are bragging rights. Nevertheless, your points are well taken. Geez, agreeing with an Aubie. . . gotta go shower
It's amazing how the a$$ handing OSU gave us at home last year has been purged from the memories of a lot of fans.
If it hadn't rained before the game the outcome would have been much, much different. Watching our RB's slide around in the mud + QB's throwing one-hop screens while soaking wet in the stands wasn't much fun.
After watching how we did vs Troy, Vandy for a half, Bama for a half, ole Piss, etc, I don't know if I would blame much on the rain when we played OSU.
