Could be 7-2 but thought process is this. NC has stellar defense. They blitz JJ to death. They are stout against the run as well. Only saving grace here is their offense might have been worse than ours last year when you consider the conference difference. If we lose the opener 6-3 if not 7-2. 0-1 then split WV, Tenn, UF and Auburn. 1-0 the split with above teams = 7-2 Who knows? I just hope JJ has learned more than what we saw in the spring game. He is 3 years into this system and still looks lost.
I think you are looking for the Tiger O of 09. My thought on the Tar Heel game is putting 09 to bed. I look for a much improved JJ and a running game. Shep will be a major threat and he will be in the game 75% of the time. When I try to talk football at work the guys talk as though the same Tiger team will be on the field this year. That is why this game against a top 20 team and a top 10 D will mess with the heads of many in the media and Baton Rouge. :tigereye:
Good luck with that. I've been around a while and I can tell you there will always be fans that are unhappy, mostly for selfish reasons. After the 2003 and 2007 NCs, these fans were able to be "big men" because "their" team was on top of the world. Once that status began to slide a little, they were relegated to admitting that their dicks really are small. Some things never change.
Would it be safe to say that most of the people who are bitching are probably younger fans who don't remember the 90's?
