Someone please explain why the Patriots are wasting their time with Etling?

Dont recall Etling running a 4.4

 

4.76 at the combine.

 

Lot of people like some of you here didn't think much of Drew Brees and Tom Brady when they were drafted. Don't know if Etling will be a good pro QB but it's too early to tell. Patriots aren't stupid yet they took Etling which tells you something about Etling.

Pretty damn slow for a WR in the NFL. Every DB in the league is faster than him.
Doesn't mesn he can't make it if he runs perfect routes. Fred Bellitnicoff was slow and if you remember Danny Abramowitz he was pretty slow.
