I was so suprised to see them actually choose the Saints game over the cowboys earlier this yeaar, besides that we have just been lucky to have games at different times. I will be in Dallas for the game his weekend, we have to win. Shreveport has more saints fans than you might imagine, it just takes them winning to fin that out, I gusess alot of bandwagenners.
There's a reason many folks in Shreveport are fans of the Cowboys. The Cowboys joined the league in 1960 and KSLA in Shreveport carried almost all the Cowboy games. There were no Saints then, not until 1967. I grew up watching the Cowboys on KSLA. In the mid-60s, when there were whispers of a team coming to New Orleans, the Cowboys were on the rise. KSLA got a lot of criticism for continuing their telecasts of the Cowboys rather than switching to coverage of Saints games but not as much as they would have received had they dropped Cowboys coverage. I was in New Orleans in the summer of '67 and the buzz about the Saints was incredible. I became a fan. I still like the Cowboys. I hope the Saints spank 'em on Sunday.
