Okay Tigers, a quick lesson - Boomer Sooner - kind of a weird cheer I know but here's what they mean - Boomer - the people that waited for the cannon to fire before invading Indian land and staking their claims to land. Sooner - the guys that said "what cannon?" and went in a lot earlier and got all the prime land. BOOMER SOONER! Laissez le bon temps roule!
Basically, or any of those other synonyms like - Politician, entrepreneur, river boat gambler, opportunist, chance-taker, and, oh yes, NATIONAL CHAMPIONS! BOOMER SOONER
HEY listen to me.Be glad people from Oklahoma want to eat Cajun food & be in the Big Easy. What's the matter with that.I,m a proud Coonass from Church Point & I have introduced many Okies to OUR culture. It's something I,m very proud of & let them experience our food & culture. The best team will win on the field.Make your guest welcome & let them know you want them to come back & love our state as we do.I have lived in Oklahoma most of my life.NEVER have I regreted being from La.I love who I'm & dam proud of my Roots. Most Okies know very little of you. Shake there hand & welcome them & the best team win.I promiss win or lose they will leave thinking of what a great state this is & how good the people of Lousisiana are.Being Assholes get us know where.Ask the Tide Fan's about the Sooner Fan's.We had more fun with them than any road trip I have ever made.We as fan's don't play the game. Our teams do.But we reflect on our teams as there fan's.Keep that in mind & let's all have a great game & time.
SOS' replies - pick any 1) Who gives a flying fark? 2) Great! Keep them out of the Quarter! 3) Outstanding! The first party to crash and scarf up all the free stuff, and puke cream of mushroom soup! (See the Great Santini to understand)
And, the TE=Ramah, just noticed that too! WattajokeUr, a real assclown! $100 for that crap .... gimme a break .... The guy who wrote the book "1001 ways to skin a redneck" would be proud ... I hear the shindig is being sponsored by Mr. I. B. Fleecingham.
To clarify somewhat: all I've heard now for weeks is how amazing and incredible the city will be if LSU got to the Sugar Bowl---the party to end all parties, etc. I just found it stunning that the first announcement of an organized event involving a school's fans and a Quarter area establishment was from Oklahoma. I'm incredulous that there are those not even slightly disturbed by this fact. Tiger fans and N'Awlins-area establishments sure have talked a good game the past few weeks. Let's hope it's backed up as fully as it should be.
Are you kidding me....... That is one party for about 250 folks MAX. The Tigerroar.com bash has several bands and will attract THOUSANDS(300 in the member VIP are alone) It has sponsors out the wazoo.
