I suppose I have a reputation as a NEGATIVE NANCY. (BTW, all caps just means you couldn't come up with a decent term to spell in normal letters.)
So here's my response.
LSU looked okay vs. Auburn, who is a bad team right now. Both sides of the ball looked much improved for the purple and gold, and I'm confident LSU will end up with more wins than they had last year.
On the other hand, LSU had no rushing attack except for Shepard's big play. It's crazy that they couldn't pound away with Scott in the second half.
I can't imagine Jefferson will have such wide-open receivers against Bama and Ole Miss, so the Tigers are going to have to find another way to win those two games.
The defense stepped up nicely. I liked the pass rush a lot. They tackle as well as any Tiger team in the Miles era.
My sense is that the Tigers could win or lose all their remaining SEC games. Jefferson has a lot more to learn, and the running game needs to get an attitude.
Nevertheless, I like where they sit now. And the future looks bright.
