For some reason when someone wants to belittle Coach Miles they call him Leslie, thats how they usually refer to him him on the Tider forum. It's like calling Saban, little Nicky, or something like that. It pisses me off also to see someone calling him Leslie on this forum, especially someone who is supposed to be an LSU fan.
But I do have to question why Perrilloux wasnt getting more playing time yesterday when it was obvious to see that Flynn wasn't close to 100 percent with his injury hampering not only his running but also his throwing.
I don't really believe the game was put away untill the very end. South Carolina almost recovered that onside kick. If they would have and scored a TD at that point they would have been back in the game. Why give them that chance. I really believe that if Perrilloux would have been playing the game wouldn't have been close. That doesn't mean that Flynn shouldn't be our starting QB for the rest of the season, just that untill he is healed up, in close games maybe Perriloux should be playing.

LSU did put the game away with offense. The 1st 21 points was all they needed. In LSU's case, the defense can't "put away" a game but they can protect a victory in hand. All Miles was doing in the 2nd half was not allowing his team to give the win back.

The game was over at half time and certainly when they were up 28-7. If SC recovers that onside kick and somehow manages to move the ball into the endzone and manage a 2 point conversion, they are still down by 4 with very little, if any, time left (they would have had 1:41 to score 2 touchdowns had they recovered). Ummmm...I don't think so.

(Ahem) Apologies to all who took offense to the way my post last night was, uh, worded.

Got a little carried away and used language that was way too strong to make a valid point--Coach put this game at unnecessary risk by not playing his #2 QB more and his #1 QB less in this game.

Take away things that do not happen in the typical game---Colt David's TD, a sure INT by the injured Matt Flynn that should have gone the other way for 6---and the game would have been thisclose.

It did not need to be that way, and the sub-standard way in which the QB rotation was handled put the game more at risk than it should have been.

I distinctly remember Holtz last year downplaying how difficult it is to play in Tiger Stadium. Then Bob Davie broadcasted a game featuring LSU in which he talked at length at how incredibly tough a venue Death Valley is, and that it's easily one of the most challenging places to play in the country.

Both former Irish coaches. One has credibility. One does not.

Very strange. Since then Holtz has clearly been anti-LSU. It's just strange.

Holt doesn't even remember what it's like to play with his wife. It ain't easy for opponents to win here- don't let them bother you, the coaches/teams who play or have played here know. Here are a few, even the "Bear" on this list.

You cannot take them away. Things like that have happened in every single game played since the game was invented. I remember a couple of potential "pick 6s" on our side. The game was never in doubt (or in jeopardy) after halftime. Just admit that you wanted another beatdown on national TV and you were pissed that it didn't happen. Calling out Miles for your perceived woulda, shoulda couldas appears, to me at least,to be crying like a little girl.
