I just went to a friend's camp to clean one for him. About 18 lb common snapper he caught in a beaver trap. Biggest common snapper I've seen. He caught two others in the beaver trap also. One about 8 lbs and the other around 10. Unreal. I told him it's time he starts learning how to clean 'em.
Fuck no. Not when I'm at a camp, no. I often even fish alone cause the outdoors is my escape from the public. He was not there at first. When he got there I was well into it and he had some other stuff he was doing. He's tearing down a house for the wood. Dude's 72 years old and doing that. 2nd one in the last 8 months. He had to unload the wood. He had two and I only cleaned one. After I was finished I put him on notice and told him I hated cleaning turtles. I enjoy skinning a few catfish (10 or less) and I enjoy cleaning a few ducks, skinning a pig (not when there are 3 or more though).
