Ridiculous... I wish people would look closer at what they did last year. They beat NO ONE. They were a good team, but far from a great team. They will be a little better this coming season, but they won't get lucky enough to have wins over big name programs who happen to be having bad seasons. I'm going to be at the ND-Michigan game with an ND student, so I hope they win that one. Seems weird to me to have 2 teams from the same division ranked so high & close together... I don't get all the Florida St hype... People said the same thing last year, and what happened? Sorry, but Bowden's squad gets too much preseason respect because of what he accomplished in the past.
That's exactly right. So even if they did just take into account what they did last year, it ain't that great. Whatever, the 'fall from grace' will be indeed pleasant to watch. But that just means we have to put up with the constant pouting and whining from the media. 'Ohhhh what's wrong with Notre Dame???'
Wow, LSU's preseason rankings have been all over the map. If they start the season in the top 10, I hope that both Fla and AU are ranked ahead of them. I've been devouring Phil Steele's mag and some teams are so set up for a run who have weak-ass schedules. W. Va is first on that list.
Especially not against LSU, eh, Caddy? Irons averaged nearly 9 ypc in the "Boink Bowl" in Baton Rouge last year. I expect Tubby to feed Irons the ball like crazy on Sept 16.
