1. i think Tiger Band should play aretha franklin's RESPECT at every game.
  2. That answers a lingering question of mine which is how can so many supposedly knowlegable sports people consistently refuse to acknowlege that LSU is better than USC based upon the season so far? Apparently they don't look at is as who's the best right now, rather it's a guessing game as to who has the best chance to go undefeated. That's a little depressing.
  3. Agreed. And it's inherently wrong. What makes this a double whammy is that they don't move teams down if they don't lose... so they set them up on top, and refuse to move them even if someone else successfully navigates that "impossible" schedule. See Auburn 2004
  4. does anyone know if the intention of any of the polls has been defined--ie, to determine who is best now, who will be best at the end of the year, or who will have the best record at the end of the year?

if its the latter then youd think teams rankings would change when conf champ game matchups are decided. if lsu ends up playing usc again instead of uf then lsu's chances of a better record are better.
  5. The sweet thing is . . . since the BCS came along, being #2 is just as good as being #1. All we have to do is keep winning and we're going to be in the championship game.
  6. It will continue to be so until we get some sort of playoff system.
  7. and if it does work out that way, we could possibly enter the game as a dog. I don't know if they would go that far but I'd love to play USC as a dog. Nothing better to get em fired up. Team must take care of whats in front of them first though and let those cards fall where they may. Geaux Tigers!!!!
