1. Yeah, I agree w/you. The only way Cam becomes HC is IF Miles decides to shut down early, and Cam has an unfulfilled desire to prove he can be a successful HC, and thus coach a bit longer than CLM. I don't think, if that ever came to fruition, that Cam would end up doing it longer than 5 or so years due to age.

  2. IMO, LSU is in a position to never take a "BET" on a HC again. We should be able to get a PROVEN commodity.

  3. Every one is making good, valid points in this thread. Of course none of us know for sure what has been said between Les and Cam or if Alleva has been part of the mix.

I hate to speculate on any of this except to say I hope we have a long & successful run with the status quo.

  4. However, if and when Cam is in the running for the HC position, LSU should have a good idea who he is and what he's capable of.

  5. Just for the record, Cam Cameron is 7 years younger than Les and 10 years younger than Nick. He is definitely not on the way out.

  6. I like Cam, but its been 1 season.

  7. I did not realize that.

  8. He wouldnt have had the same success in Ann Arbor as he has had in Baton Rouge either.
  9. Les used a trip to Ann Arbor to get a raise here. More importantly, what he really wanted was total control of the football program (that includes the budget) which he used the trip to leverage. Alleva is not near as involved with the program as most might think...and that's a good thing. He should stick to fucking over tailgating, ticket prices and corporate catering.

  10. doubtful, but not the point. It was argued that money wasn't a motivating factor. I say only for those without a pulse.
